Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 30 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Welsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Bueller!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bueller throws a nice outside leg kick.
Welsh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bueller sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Welsh somewhat.
Bueller thumps Welsh with a low kick.
Bueller throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Welsh seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
We've been hearing reports that Welsh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bueller scores with a decent looking hook.


It looks like TJ Welsh has been cut.
Bueller works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bueller cracks Welsh with an open hand slap.
Welsh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bueller paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bueller swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Welsh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bueller is looking for the big counter here.

Welsh has managed to clinch.
Welsh scores a nice knee to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Come on Welsh - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Bueller managing to block the knees to the body from Welsh.

Bueller throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Welsh lands a left hand.

Bueller pulls guard effortlessly.
Welsh postures up.
Bueller pulls Welsh in close to prevent any damage.

Welsh gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Welsh moves into range and clinches up with Bueller.
Bueller blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bueller has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Welsh with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Welsh struggles to land a body shot inside as Bueller controls his hands.
Bueller wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Welsh swings wildly with an uppercut but Bueller uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bueller lands with a short shot to the head.
Welsh using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bueller has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bueller decides to pull guard.
Bueller wants to sweep here but Welsh controlling him for the moment.

Welsh stands up and waves to Bueller to follow him.
Welsh takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Welsh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bueller swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Welsh tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bueller manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Welsh tries to clinch up but Bueller circles away and keeps his distance.
Bueller displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Welsh.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TJ Welsh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Welsh wants to clinch.
Welsh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bueller paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bueller let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Bueller with a nice cross.

Bueller looks to land a combination but Welsh avoids it well.
Bueller scores with a crisp jab that stopped Welsh in his tracks.


Welsh is rocked!
Bueller throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Welsh on the side of the head.
Oh Welsh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bueller throws an uppercut from hell that sends Welsh clean off his feet! He's out cold! Bueller stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eric Bueller!
