Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newell smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Modus Ponens has been cut.
Ponens closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Newell's guard.
Ponens has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Newell to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ponens is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Newell pulls down on the head and he's put Ponens to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Duke Newell!
Modus Ponens spoke after the fight, saying 'What happened ? I'll be back and learn from this'.
