Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brendan Parsons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Bob!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob takes a kick to the side of the head.
Bob looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Bob fails to land with a series of punches.
As Bob tries to get set, Parsons tries to push him back and clinch up but Bob manages to avoid the attempt.
Bob misses the shot to the body.
Parsons seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Bob tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Parsons swivels and escapes.
Parsons shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bob but Bob pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Parsons scoring well with a low kick there.
Parsons lands with a kick to the temple. Bob shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Bob chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Parsons can pounce on him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bob displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Parsons.
Despite the aggression on Bob's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Parsons gets a clinch.

Parsons jumps guard and drags Bob to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Parsons is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bob is aware though and is defending well.
Parsons is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bob wants to stand and escape but instead Parsons has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bob must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Parsons bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bob's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bob can do anything to dispel that myth.
Parsons controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Bob has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Parsons.

Bob has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Parsons seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Bob can turn it around.
Bob is trying to push Parsons away but Parsons has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Parsons tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bob defends well and Parsons ends up having to push Bob into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
