The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bokhorst checks a low kick from Pickett.
Pickett takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bokhorst feints and as Pickett raises his hands in defense, Bokhorst changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bokhorst is pushing down on Pickett's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pickett is fighting to maintain full guard but Bokhorst has managed to sneak the leg through.
Pickett trying to hold on to Bokhorst's head to control him but Bokhorst postures up.
Bokhorst is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Bokhorst is thwarting Pickett's attempts to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bokhorst is trying for a kimura here. Pickett looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Bokhorst wins by kimura!
