Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Milan Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avery Arellano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avery Arellano has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Milan Kent's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Milan Kent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Avery Arellano! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kent closes the distance and pushes Arellano back into the cage. Kent breaks the clinch.
Arellano avoids the head kick by Kent.
Arellano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kent.
Arellano fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kent sprawls well initially but Arellano persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kent has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Arellano is working away from the top position though. Arellano thows a huge punch but Kent dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kent trying to control from the bottom.
Arellano is trying to control the action in half guard but Kent is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Arellano wants to free his trapped foot but Kent is holding on for dear life with his legs. Arellano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kent keeps working. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kent gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Arellano to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kent looking to hit a scissor sweep but Arellano is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kent has momentary wrist control but Arellano slips an elbow through the middle. Kent lands a decent shot there. Kent trying to control the position.
Kent is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Arellano defends well. Arellano working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Arellano accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Arellano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kent has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arellano has managed to get both his arms back between Kent's legs - danger averted. Arellano lands a couple of elbows. Arellano throwing strikes from guard but Kent blocks nicely. Kent is breathing heavily. Arellano is in close to Kent's body, working some short punches and elbows. Arellano throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kent works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Arellano wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Arellano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Arellano fails to land the takedown. Kent half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arellano lands with a nice combination. Kent backs away looking to recover. Kent takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kent has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kent is trying to pull guard but Arellano turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Arellano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Arellano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Arellano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kent lands a lovely overhand right. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A clash of legs there as Kent blocks the low kick. Arellano showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Avery Arellano dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kent has managed to clinch.

Arellano misses with a double jab
and Kent counters by clinching up. Kent gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Arellano.

Arellano is breathing heavily. Arellano throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kent tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Arellano is in Kent's guard. Arellano wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving. Kent looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent working for a triangle but Arellano defends it easily.
Kent utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Arellano has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kent working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Arellano doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Arellano manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kent is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Arellano defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Arellano keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kent's head. Arellano wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving. Kent working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Arellano. Arellano drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kent dives on top into guard. Arellano wants to get back to his feet but Kent is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kent trying to control the position from guard on top but Arellano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Arellano is looking to stand up but Kent isn't so interested in that idea. Kent trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Arellano swinging wildly here.
Arellano throws a lazy head kick and Kent holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kent jumps guard and drags Arellano to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Arellano controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Arellano is fighting to break Kent's control of his arms but Kent is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kent throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Arellano is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kent is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Arellano scores with a couple of nice shots. Arellano lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Arellano sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kent defending well though.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Arellano misses with a body kick. Arellano throws a head kick that misses. No joy there for Arellano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Arellano keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kent is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Arellano tries to kick Kent off but Kent keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kent missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kent avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kent pushes Arellano up against the cage in a clinch. Kent goes for a takedown in the clinch but Arellano prevents it.
Arellano looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kent gets a trip takedown into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Arellano looks like he's trying to stand up.

And that's the end of the fight! Avery Arellano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Arellano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
