1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Suresh Nadar! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nadar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Primo sprawls well initially but Nadar persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Primo is looking for a sweep. Nadar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nadar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Primo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nadar pulls his head out easily. Nadar prevents Primo from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Primo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Primo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Primo looking for a kimura from the bottom but Nadar passes into side control! Nadar controlling from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Primo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Primo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The fighters are battling for position here. Primo manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Primo pushes a forearm under Nadar's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Nadar is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
