Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalle Kullervo!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kullervo avoids the head kick by Venables.
Kullervo scores with a hook to the body. Venables takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kullervo misses with a body shot.
Kullervo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kullervo throws a head kick but Venables moves out of range.
Kullervo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Venables connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kullervo scrambles back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kullervo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Venables throws a body shot but no joy.
Kullervo wants to counter with a clinch but Venables pushes him away.
Kullervo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Venables rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kullervo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Venables bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kullervo's head.
Joseph Venables seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kullervo takes a swing at Venables's ribcage but misses.
Venables takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Kullervo moves out of range of the body kick.
Kullervo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Venables moves away.
Venables thinks about countering with a body kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kullervo.
Kullervo tries a head kick but it misses.

Venables does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Oooooh!!! Kullervo has knocked Venables down with a huge combo! Kullervo steps away and waves a wobbly Venables back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Venables misses with some punches.

Kullervo digs a right hand into Venables's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Venables's gas tank.

Venables's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Venables on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Joseph Venables's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Kullervo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Venables throws a sloppy head kick and Kullervo moves out of range easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kullervo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kullervo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Venables is rocked!
Kullervo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Venables sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Oh Venables is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Venables fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kullervo checks it well.
Kullervo is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Venables with a body shot.
Venables seems to have got his legs back now.
Venables takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Venables looks to land a body kick but Kullervo moved away.
Venables walks straight into a right hand from Kullervo - that's dropped him! Kullervo jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Venables from any more punishment! Venables complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
