Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malachy Carey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thad Battles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carey comes to the cage accompanied by March of Cambreadth. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Battles.
Battles scores with a nice right hand.
Carey definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Battles has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carey drops down looking for an ankle pick but Battles pulls his leg out and moves away.
Battles has closed the distance and engaged Carey in a clinch.
Battles lands a right hand.
Battles lands a shoulder strike.
Battles gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Carey.
Battles lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Malachy Carey has been cut.
Battles lands a nice uppercut.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Battles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carey changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Battles fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Thad Battles spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
