Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bran Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brandon Vera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bran Snow!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vera closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Vera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Snow keeps working.

Vera is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Snow is just riding it out for now. Vera eventually gives up the hold.
Snow looks like he's trying to stand up.
Vera moves nicely into side control.
Snow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vera lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Snow down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vera tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vera has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Snow is trying to buck Vera off.

Vera is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Snow is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vera lands some shots froms side control.
Snow wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Vera thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Vera scoring with punches and elbows.
Snow wants to get back to his feet but Vera drags him back down.
Vera has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vera wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Snow, who protects the arm well.
Snow tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Snow should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Vera quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Vera but it's paid off an Snow is forced to tap! Nice work by Vera.
