The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avalon dives in for a single leg takedown but Edmodson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Edmodson misses with a wild combination.
Avalon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Edmodson sprawls well. Edmodson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Avalon gets slowly back to his feet.
It looked like Edmodson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Michael Edmodson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjarni Avalon.
Avalon shoots in for a takedown but Edmodson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Edmodson leaves Avalon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Avalon tries to counter by closing the distance.

Edmodson lands a head shot.
Edmodson goes for a small jab and connects. Now Edmodson goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Avalon stumbles back but Edmodson runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Avalon to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Avalon will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
