Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tristan De Guia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adam Feliks! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Guia fails with a takedown attempt. Feliks wants to clinch. De Guia forces Feliks back against the cage and clinches. Feliks is trying to push De Guia away but De Guia has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. De Guia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Feliks gets a clinch. De Guia can't get the takedown.
Feliks is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. De Guia pulls guard effortlessly. Feliks tries to stand but De Guia is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Feliks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Feliks tries to free his leg and advance position but De Guia is retaining full guard. Feliks controls the pace of the fight for a moment. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. De Guia shoots in for a takedown but Feliks shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tristan De Guia. That's going to take a lot out of him. A combination from Feliks does no damage. De Guia wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. De Guia throws a nice looking combination but Feliks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Feliks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with De Guia, pushing him back against the cage. De Guia breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Feliks uses good head movement to avoid the hook from De Guia. Feliks is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. De Guia could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Feliks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as De Guia sprawls well. De Guia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Feliks gets slowly back to his feet. De Guia lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's three minutes gone in the round. De Guia throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Feliks drops down looking to force a counter takedown but De Guia defends it well. De Guia has Feliks up against the cage in a clinch.

Feliks swats away the attempt to clinch by De Guia. Feliks closes this distance looking for a takedown but De Guia circles away. Feliks tries to clinch up. Feliks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Feliks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Feliks fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but De Guia avoids it really well and circles away.

Feliks fails to land the takedown. De Guia goes for a double leg but Feliks avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Feliks continues to drive forward. De Guia has his takedown stuffed and Feliks makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. De Guia fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Guia throws a body kick that misses. Feliks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Feliks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. De Guia defends it nicely. Feliks shoots for a takedown but De Guia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and De Guia wants it to stay on the feet. Feliks lands with a nice combination. De Guia backs away looking to recover. Feliks swats away the attempt to clinch by De Guia. Feliks tries to close the distance and clinch up but De Guia swats him away and circles back towards the center. Feliks with a poor takedown and De Guia counters by moving into the clinch. De Guia is looking to take this one to the mat. De Guia fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Feliks shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and De Guia counters with a good, hard body kick but Feliks shrugs it off. No joy there for Feliks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Feliks presses De Guia against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Feliks wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Feliks is defended easily by De Guia. De Guia seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Feliks moves into range and clinches up with De Guia. Feliks is looking to take this one to the mat. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Feliks takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. De Guia has Feliks pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Feliks manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Feliks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says De Guia as he avoids it easily. Horrible takedown attempt by De Guia or perhaps it was just good defense by Feliks, which made it look bad. A decent looking cross lands there for Feliks. Feliks takes the fight into the clinch. Adam Feliks seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. De Guia tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Feliks walks away with a smile on his face. De Guia gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Feliks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as De Guia sprawls well. De Guia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Feliks gets slowly back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Feliks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Feliks has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
