Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernst Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riki Shi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riki Shi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Riki Shi!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been told by Schmidt's head coaches at MM eh Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Shi is pressed up against the cage. Schmidt has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shi down to the mat. Shi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Shi wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Schmidt manages to pass to side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Schmidt in particular looking to stall.
