0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jesse Moreland! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moreland steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Emelianenko. Emelianenko is breathing heavily. Moreland stuffs the takedown. Emelianenko thows a body shot but no joy. Emelianenko throws a sloppy head kick and Moreland moves out of range easily. Moreland closes the distance and clinches. Moreland has picked Emelianenko up - he's going for a ride! Moreland dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Moreland really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emelianenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Moreland tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Emelianenko tries to roll over but Moreland keeps him under control. Moreland is tying to control. Emelianenko wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Moreland not doing much here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moreland might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Emelianenko kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Emelianenko trying to control from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Moreland rushes Emelianenko and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Moreland tightens his grip and picks Emelianenko up, before dumping him to the ground. Emelianenko manages to land in guard. Moreland avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Moreland trying to stand up but can't free himself from Emelianenko's guard. Emelianenko wants to stand and escape but Moreland is having none of it. Emelianenko looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Moreland is defending well. Emelianenko quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Moreland has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Emelianenko celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
