Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtisis Nailor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Curtisis Nailor!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nailor has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nailor has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Diaz paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That kick from Diaz tenderised Nailor's leg. Nailor is trying to keep his angry face on.
Nailor tries to clinch but Diaz moves out of range.
Diaz lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nailor's sensitive parts.
Diaz lands the left hand.
Diaz lands with a good body shot.
Diaz throws a nice head kick!

Diaz has managed to clinch.
Nailor being controlled against the cage.
Nailor is trying to maintain a safe position but Diaz gets an underhook and turns Nailor into the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nailor tries to break free but Diaz pushes him back against the cage.

Diaz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Antonio Diaz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nailor tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Diaz counters with a stiff right hand.
Nailor tries for a takedown but Diaz circles away easily
enabling Diaz to counter with a crisp jab.
Nailor takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Nailor throws a left and a right that both miss
and Diaz counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nailor looks winded!
Diaz with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Nailor drops his hands momentarily and Diaz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Nailor tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Diaz counters with an outside leg kick.
Diaz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Diaz's jab looks to have found its range, popping Nailor under the eye.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Diaz connects with the punch.


Nailor is rocked!
Diaz is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Diaz scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nailor is still on wobbly legs! Can Diaz finish him?
Nailor sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
We've been told by Diaz's head coaches at Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nailor fails with a takedown attempt.
Nailor seems to have recovered his senses.

Antonio Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Curtisis Nailor.
Diaz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nailor. That did some damage!
Diaz throws out a powerful jab.
Diaz works Nailor's body with a nice hook.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Diaz.
Nailor takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nailor closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Diaz throws a nice outside leg kick.

Nailor takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A chopping leg kick lands by Diaz.
Nailor gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Diaz scores with a hook to the body. Nailor takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Diaz cracks a nice hook into Nailor's ribs.
Nailor's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Diaz lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nailor gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Diaz fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Nailor to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Nailor looks to clinch but Diaz throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Nailor taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Antonio Diaz!
