Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but York avoids it really well and circles away.
York could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wallace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? York is fending him off so far but Wallace persists. Nope, York circles away and we're back to standing.
Wallace defends well against a solid takedown attempt from York.

Wallace closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. York did well to prevent Wallace getting side control.
York is looking for a sweep. Wallace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
York keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wallace slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Wallace throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
York would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as York accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

York throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Wallace lands a jab to York's midsection.
Wallace looks for a takedown but York sprawls well.
Wallace throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

York shoots for a takedown but Wallace saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
York stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and York wants it to stay on the feet.

Wallace throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent York stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wallace takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
York shoots in looking for a takedown. Wallace tries to sprawl out of it but York keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wallace manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wallace throws a right hand that York ducks under and follows up with a left that York also avoids with ease.
Jay Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

York throws a nice looking combination but Wallace bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wallace tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

York wants to clinch up but Wallace keeps it at a distance.

York pushes Wallace away with a front kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by York or perhaps it was just good defense by Wallace, which made it look bad.
Wallace connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
York tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wallace manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wallace looks to land a combination. York sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Wallace throws a push kick but York slaps the foot to one side.

York fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wallace to the ground. York is now in Wallace's guard.

Wallace pulls York in close to his closed guard and prevents York from doing any damage or advancing position.
Wallace is trying to hold York in close to prevent damage but York has managed to pass into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wallace wants to control the action here but instead York manages to pass to full mount!
York pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Jay Wallace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Irving York is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Wallace slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Irving York showed his dominance in that final round.
Well York has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
