Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renji Abarai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abarai's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Before I Forget. Kush has chosen PUFF HARDER as his entrance music. Jay Kush will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Renji Abarai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Kush! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kush defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Abarai. Kush swings for the body but Abarai moves out of range.
Kush misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kush lands a nice hook to Abarai's body. Abarai takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kush throws a right and a left that both miss. Kush lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Abarai circles away quickly and effectively. Abarai shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kush felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Abarai is looking for a kimura here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Abarai is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kush doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Abarai. Abarai is trying to control. Kush wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kush tries to kick Abarai off but Abarai keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Abarai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kush keeps working. Kush is defending against the submission attempts here by Abarai.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Abarai is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Abarai wants to control but Kush is keeping him busy. Abarai is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Abarai is stalling here. Kush is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Abarai seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kush has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Kush happy to just control the position for now. You can see the frustration on Abarai's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kush decides to stand back up. Kush steps back and let's Abarai get back to his feet. Abarai swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A nice side step and Kush releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Kush throws a right hand that Abarai ducks under and follows up with a left that Abarai also avoids with ease.

Abarai half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Kush throws a body punch but Abarai moves out of range. Abarai wants to clinch up but Kush keeps it at a distance. Good standup being displayed there by Kush as he connects with a hook. The crowd cheers as Kush lands an impressive looking overhand right. Abarai doesn't seem phased though. Kush lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Abarai is looking to clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kush throws a right hand that Abarai ducks under and follows up with a left that Abarai also avoids with ease. Kush misses with a looping right. Abarai fails to land the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Kush dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Abarai half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Abarai slips a jab from Kush. As Kush tries to get set, Abarai tries to push him back and clinch up but Kush manages to avoid the attempt. Kush throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kush throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Abarai sees it coming and avoids it easily. Abarai attempts a counter takedown but Kush avoids it well and moves away. Kush lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Abarai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kush.

Abarai fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kush to the ground. Abarai is now in Kush's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abarai trying to control the position from guard on top but Kush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Abarai misses with a takedown attempt and Kush counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Kush stuns Abarai with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kush fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Kush throws a right and a left that Abarai avoids nicely. Kush clobbers Abarai with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Kush cracks Abarai with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Kush lands a nice hook to Abarai's body. Abarai takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Abarai lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kush scores with a jab to the body. Kush bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Abarai's head backwards. Jay Kush is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kush will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
It looked like Abarai was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Abarai decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kush's guard. Abarai trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kush's guard. Abarai looking to pass the guard. Kush is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Abarai is controlling him. Kush not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kush keeping moving, preventing Abarai from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kush wants to stand and escape but Abarai is having none of it. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Abarai takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Oooooh!!! Kush has knocked Abarai down with a huge combo! Kush steps away and waves a wobbly Abarai back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Abarai is rocked! Jay Kush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kush waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Abarai. Oh Abarai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Abarai tries to clinch but Kush moves out of range. Abarai seems to have got his legs back now. Kush cracks Abarai with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kush has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Abarai to stand back up! Abarai manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kush on his heels. He'll look to pass Kush's guard now, I'm sure. Abarai would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Kush showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Abarai shoots in looking for a takedown. Kush tries to sprawl out of it but Abarai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kush manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kush shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Abarai eats them both and turns towards Kush to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Abarai tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kush swivels and escapes. Kush let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Jay Kush seems to be getting the better of the standup. Abarai fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kush to the ground. Abarai is now in Kush's guard. Kush manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Abarai manages to break the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kush rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abarai moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kush has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Abarai defending well as Kush loads up on a big left hand.

Abarai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kush throws a shot from downtown. Abarai moves away and avoids it. Abarai changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Abarai dives in and grabs Kush's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kush pushes down on Abarai's head and hops out. And that's the end of the fight! Jay Kush comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kush has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jay Kush! Jay Kush decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
