Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taneli Hauki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Quin! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hauki misses with a series of wild punches.
Quin lands with a hook. Hauki tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Hauki misses with a wild body shot. Hauki keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Quin. Quin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hauki.
Quin connects with a body shot. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Quin is defended easily by Hauki. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quin connects with a body shot. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Quin is defended easily by Hauki.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Quin avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Quin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Taneli Hauki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Quin. Hauki misses with a jab to the body
and Quin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hauki misses with a body shot.

Quin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Hauki has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Ground Zero in the buildup to the fight. Hauki misses the jab. Quin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hauki takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Quin pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hauki gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Quin. Hauki takes one on the button. A big left from Quin misses. Hauki doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Quin punishes Hauki's body with a nice straight punch. Hauki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Quin moves away. Quin looks like he wants to counter punch here. Quin lands a nice shot to the body.

Quin with a hook. Hauki misses the body punch and Quin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hauki won't be happy with that. Hauki is not content to let Quin control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quin working away. Quin in side control, throwing shots but Hauki defends. You can see the frustration on Hauki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Quin is trying to ground and pound but Hauki uses the momentary lack of control by Quin to regain half guard. Quin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Quin not landing any meaningful shots this time. Quin wants to pass to mount but Hauki is defending the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hauki is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Quin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hauki is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Quin jumps into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hauki takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hauki stops Quin from passing to mount. Quin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hauki is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Hauki can't do much from the bottom here. Quin creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Quin dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Quin misses with a hook. Hauki takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Matt Quin seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hauki takes a swing at Quin's ribcage but misses. Quin throws a body punch but Hauki moves out of range. Hauki tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Quin manages to circle out of the way. Quin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hauki sprawls well. Hauki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Quin gets slowly back to his feet. Quin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quin jabs at Hauki's body. Jab, jab by Quin - just one landing. Quin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hauki.
Quin scores with the left hand. Hauki knows he should have avoided that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. A left lands for Quin. Quin has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Hauki ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Quin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hauki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Quin moves away. Good standup being displayed there by Quin as he connects with a hook. Hauki lands a body shot.

Quin throws a hook to the side of Hauki's head but Hauki sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Good shot there by Quin. Hauki is looking to wear down Quin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Hauki walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Hauki fails to land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Quin flashes Hauki a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Hauki's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Hauki crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Quin punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
