Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Justin Martens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Vo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Vo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Martens! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Vo! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martens shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Martens was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! A nice elbow there by Martens. Vo working to try and regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Martens manages to capitalize on a mistake by Vo to take his back! Martens is looking for the choke from the back position but Vo is controlling his hands well. Martens working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Vo tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's one minute gone in the round. Martens stands up from mount. Strange move. David Vo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vo throws a series of punches but Martens avoids them all with ease. Vo misses with a few strikes there.
Martens on the wrong end of a nice jab. Vo throws a nice looking combination but Martens bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Vo stuffs the takedown. Vo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Martens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Martens misses with a jab, cross combination.
Vo closes the distance and lands a one-two. Vo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Vo sizes up Martens with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Vo just misses with a punch to the body.
Martens takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vo misses with a series of wild punches.
Martens misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Martens tries to clinch but Vo moves out of range. Vo throws a series of strikes that have Martens backpedaling.
Vo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Vo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Vo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Martens. Vo misses with the combination.
Martens bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Vo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Martens's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Vo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Martens gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Vo. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Martens takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Vo cracks Martens with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Vo misses with a few strikes there.
Vo throws a right and a left that both miss. Vo throws a combination that misses and Martens counters with a left and a right that stings Vo. David Vo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Vo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Vo looks gassed! Martens needs to keep his hands up - Vo had a free shot at his head there. Martens moves out of range as Vo strikes. Martens darts in and clinches Vo up against the cage. Vo tries to pull guard but Martens won't allow it.
Martens ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Martens no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Vo seems to have locked his on tight now - Martens screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Vo, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). David Vo! David Vo is the new bantamweight champion!
