Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cedrick Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thai Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thai Thai will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Thai.
Thai misses with a head kick.
Thai lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Thai throws a lazy head kick

and Newton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thai won't be happy with that.
Newton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Newton is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Thai will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Newton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Newton is working to tighten his grip on Thai's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Thai has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Newton is really squeezing tight and eventually Thai passes out! Newton breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
