Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jucal Jabneel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
49 - 25 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethelbart Takahashi! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jabneel lunges at Takahashi with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Takahashi's hand. Jabneel connects with a body shot that sends Takahashi's belly button to the back. Takahashi moves out of range of the body kick. Takahashi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jabneel throws a head kick but Takahashi moves out of range.
Takahashi appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Takahashi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Takahashi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Jabneel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Takahashi finds it's way round the side to connect with Jabneel's head. Jabneel stuns Takahashi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Jabneel defending well as Takahashi loads up on a big left hand. Takahashi slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jabneel is looking to wear down Takahashi with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jabneel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

A slow jab from Takahashi misses its intended target. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jabneel waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Takahashi. Takahashi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Takahashi keeps the fight on the outside. Takahashi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Takahashi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jabneel sees it coming and avoids it easily. Takahashi throws a series of punches but Jabneel moves out of range. Takahashi throws an off balance right hand
and Jabneel counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Takahashi digs a good hook to Jabneel's body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jabneel manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Takahashi on his heels. He'll look to pass Takahashi's guard now, I'm sure. Takahashi controlling the position. Jabneel postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Jabneel postures up.

It seemed like Takahashi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. We've been informed that Takahashi has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Takahashi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jabneel appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Jabneel goes for a double leg but Takahashi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Takahashi continues to drive forward. Jabneel misses with a body kick. Takahashi looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Jabneel distracts Takahashi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Takahashi keeping moving, preventing Jabneel from controlling successfully. Jabneel is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jabneel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Takahashi controls Jabneel momentarily but Jabneel frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ethelbart Takahashi will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jabneel avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Takahashi lands with an uppercut that bounces Jabneel off the cage and back into range. Jabneel throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Takahashi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Takahashi lands with a shot to the body. Takahashi works Jabneel's body with a nice hook. Ethelbart Takahashi seems to be getting the better of the standup. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Takahashi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Takahashi. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Takahashi thows a left - swing and a miss! Takahashi scores with a jab to the head.

Ethelbart Takahashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jabneel throws a lazy right hand but Takahashi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Takahashi with a body punch. A glancing blow. Takahashi lands with a shot to the body. Jabneel looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Takahashi connects with a right hand. Jabneel shakes it off. Takahashi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jabneel.

Takahashi loads up on a big right hand but Jabneel slips the punch. Takahashi cracks Jabneel with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Jabneel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Takahashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jabneel moves away. Takahashi lands with a hook. Jabneel tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Jabneel takes a swing at Takahashi's ribcage but misses. Jabneel dives in for a single leg takedown but Takahashi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Takahashi scores with a jab to the jaw. Takahashi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
