Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toyama Tokanawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ara Vahaber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vahaber is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dr.Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Still Dre. Ara Vahaber will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toyama Tokanawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ara Vahaber! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Vahaber looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vahaber looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Tokanawa could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Vahaber looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Vahaber lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tokanawa's sensitive parts. Vahaber with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tokanawa moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Vahaber stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Vahaber looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Tokanawa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Vahaber can't do much from the bottom here. Tokanawa advances to full mount. Tokanawa cracks Vahaber with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vahaber is wriggling around trying to escape.
Vahaber is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Tokanawa looking to control but Vahaber is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vahaber tries to hold on but Tokanawa pushes him away. Tokanawa prevents Vahaber from getting the reversal. Tokanawa jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Vahaber is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Vahaber and Tokanawa has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Vahaber tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vahaber on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Tokanawa is breathing heavily. Tokanawa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vahaber keeps working. Tokanawa looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Vahaber is looking to regain half guard here but Tokanawa keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tokanawa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Vahaber struggling a bit here. Tokanawa trying to control the action but Vahaber is working from the bottom. Tokanawa just content to control the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Tokanawa throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tokanawa. Tokanawa lands a jab to Vahaber's midsection. A left lands for Vahaber. Tokanawa misses with a straight left. Vahaber throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tokanawa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tokanawa working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Tokanawa working away. Tokanawa has knee on belly momentarily but Vahaber bucks him off and regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vahaber is looking to control Tokanawa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vahaber avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tokanawa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vahaber keeps working. Tokanawa prevents Vahaber from improving his position. Tokanawa controlling the action here. Tokanawa tries to pass to full mount but Vahaber defends it. Vahaber is not content to let Tokanawa control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Vahaber tries to score with a low kick but Tokanawa moves his leg out of the way. Tokanawa forces Vahaber back against the cage and clinches.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Tokanawa looking to stall.
Vahaber gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Tokanawa on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Vahaber escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tokanawa misses with a leg kick. Vahaber wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Vahaber finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Tokanawa throws a lazy right hand but Vahaber sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Tokanawa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Vahaber connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Vahaber is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tokanawa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Tokanawa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vahaber lands a head shot.
That's six minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Vahaber fakes the leg kick and cracks Tokanawa in the body. No joy there for Vahaber, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vahaber throws a right and a left that Tokanawa avoids nicely. Tokanawa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vahaber as he avoids it easily. A good leg kick by Vahaber. Vahaber fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tokanawa looks to score with a jab to the body but Vahaber is just out of range. Tokanawa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Vahaber. Tokanawa throws a leg kick enabling Vahaber to counter with a crisp jab. Tokanawa throws a sloppy head kick and Vahaber moves out of range easily. Tokanawa misses with a jab to the body
and Vahaber decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tokanawa's guard. Tokanawa looking to control.
Tokanawa is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tokanawa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Tokanawa wants to sweep here but Vahaber controlling him for the moment. Vahaber avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Tokanawa working for a triangle but Vahaber defends it easily.
Vahaber must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Tokanawa working for a triangle but Vahaber defends it easily.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. Tokanawa wants to sweep but no luck. Tokanawa is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Tokanawa keeping busy on the bottom but Vahaber has passed one foot through into half guard.
Tokanawa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vahaber's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vahaber's back! Tokanawa slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Tokanawa is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Vahaber defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Tokanawa has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Vahaber's body.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Tokanawa connects with a big shot to the side of Vahaber's head.
Tokanawa wants to control but Vahaber is keeping busy. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Tokanawa.
Vahaber defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Tokanawa's arms. Tokanawa doesn't have the hooks in and Vahaber manages to turn into his guard.
Vahaber wants to pass the guard but Tokanawa is keeping the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tokanawa working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Vahaber has passed into half guard!
Vahaber slows the pace down in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Toyama Tokanawa dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Vahaber scores with a push kick. Vahaber throws a right hand that Tokanawa ducks under and follows up with a left that Tokanawa also avoids with ease. Vahaber tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Tokanawa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tokanawa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Vahaber moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Ara Vahaber is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tokanawa keeps the fight on the outside. Tokanawa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vahaber.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vahaber looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Vahaber is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tokanawa slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Tokanawa is looking for a triangle but Vahaber pushes his legs off easily.
Tokanawa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vahaber is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tokanawa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vahaber's back instead. Tokanawa is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
