Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renaldo Pollard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Balsevicius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Renaldo Pollard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tomas Balsevicius! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balsevicius shoots in for a double leg but Pollard sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Balsevicius drives through and clinches with Pollard against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Balsevicius has Pollard pushed against the cage. Balsevicius is working for takedown but Pollard is calmly controlling the position for now. Balsevicius makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Pollard tries to land knees in the clinch but Balsevicius avoids the damage to the body. Pollard jumps guard but Balsevicius stands there with Pollard around his waist. Pollard gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Balsevicius wants to take the fight to the mat but Pollard manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Renaldo Pollard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomas Balsevicius. Balsevicius tries to pull guard but Pollard holds him up against the cage and eventually Balsevicius drops back down to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Balsevicius tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pollard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Balsevicius somewhat. Balsevicius has managed to clinch.
Pollard ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pollard no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Balsevicius preventing the sweep. Balsevicius postures up.
Pollard is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Balsevicius stands up from Pollard's guard - Balsevicius perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balsevicius looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pollard is fending him off so far but Balsevicius persists. Nope, Pollard circles away and we're back to standing. Balsevicius closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Pollard gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Balsevicius.
Pollard is trying to pull guard but Balsevicius turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Balsevicius tries to stall but Pollard uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Pollard tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pollard successfully pulls guard.
Balsevicius wants to control from the top but Pollard keeps moving. Balsevicius stopping the sweep attempt from Pollard. Pollard seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Pollard wants to stand but Balsevicius is controlling the position. Pollard is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Balsevicius is looking to advance position but Pollard has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Pollard pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pollard has hold of Balsevicius's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Balsevicius manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pollard lands with some strikes. Pollard landing strikes from the mount and Balsevicius is in trouble! Pollard is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Balsevicius is surviving well by controlling Pollard's body position as best he can. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pollard with shots to the head and body - Balsevicius looks very uncomfortable down there. Balsevicius looks winded! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pollard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Balsevicius to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Balsevicius shrugs it off. Pollard unloading with bombs! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pollard prevents Balsevicius from getting the reversal. Pollard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pollard looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Balsevicius is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Renaldo Pollard dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pollard lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Balsevicius at a distance.
A punch combination from Balsevicius misses. Pollard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Balsevicius circles away. Pollard fails to land the takedown. Balsevicius tries to counter with a clinch but Pollard shakes him off and moves away. No luck for Balsevicius with that takedown attempt. Balsevicius clinches with his opponent.

Pollard lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balsevicius has a closed guard, preventing Pollard from standing up. Pollard throws a big elbow that misses. Pollard working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pollard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Balsevicius can do to turn this around? Balsevicius is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pollard lands a couple of elbows. Pollard working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pollard is looking to stand up but Balsevicius won't let him. Pollard postures up and lands a big shot to Balsevicius's brow. Pollard would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Pollard is in close to Balsevicius's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pollard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Balsevicius's head. Pollard lands a couple of elbows. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Balsevicius is on top in guard.
Balsevicius has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pollard to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Balsevicius is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pollard pulls down on the head and he's put Balsevicius to sleep! This one is all over!
