Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rico Verhoeven! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Verhoeven gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. White swings wildly with an uppercut but Verhoeven uses good head movement to avoid it. Verhoeven throws a punch but it's blocked by White. Verhoeven blocking some punches.
White throws a punch but it's blocked by Verhoeven. Verhoeven blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Verhoeven lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. White throws a head punch that misses. Verhoeven misses with a short punch on the inside. White swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Verhoeven cracks White with a nice body shot. White misses with a punch to the body.
Verhoeven works on White's body with a couple of short punches. A quick uppercut on the inside from Verhoeven. White throws a head punch that misses. White misses with a body punch.
Verhoeven scores with a nice hook to the head. A nice left hand lands by Verhoeven.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! White doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Verhoeven throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Whites head. Verhoeven working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. White takes a shot to the head. Verhoeven blocks an uppercut.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Verhoeven tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Verhoeven. White takes a shot to the head.
White is rocked! We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Verhoeven has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Verhoeven breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks White with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! White looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. White get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? No, he's flopped back to the mat - he's out - this one is all over!
