Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pozar Pozar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pozar comes to the cage accompanied by z Buta Wjeżdzam. Simmons is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dog Wild Heaven. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

22 - 33 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pozar Pozar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Simmons! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pozar looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pozar postures up.
Pozar wants to control from the top but Simmons keeps moving. Pozar drops back looking for a leg! Simmons is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Simmons manages to kick Pozar off! Pozar jumps back into Simmons's guard. Pozar throwing strikes but missing. Pozar is working Simmons over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pozar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pozar is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Simmons has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pozar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pozar passes Simmons's left leg - he's now in half guard. Simmons actively working from the bottom here. Simmons moves into full guard.
Simmons wants to sweep here but Pozar controlling him for the moment. Simmons keeping moving, preventing Pozar from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pozar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Our spies down at at El Tico 's Academy inform us that Simmons has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Pozar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pozar wants to pass the guard but Simmons is keeping the position. Pozar trying to control the position from guard on top but Simmons is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pozar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pozar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Simmons swivels though and keeps the full guard. Simmons is looking for a triangle but Pozar pushes his legs off easily.
Pozar lands a couple of decent looking shots. Pozar trying to control the position from guard on top but Simmons is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pozar postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pozar passes Simmons's left leg - he's now in half guard. Pozar is thwarting Simmons's attempts to control the position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pozar connects with a nice short shot to Simmons's temple. Pozar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Simmons gets full guard. Pozar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pozar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Pozar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Pozar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pozar wants to control from the top but Simmons keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pozar is really struggling to control Simmons but he's trying to hold on to the position. Pozar lands a couple of decent looking shots. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pozar trying to control the position from guard on top but Simmons is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Simmons looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Pozar feints and as Simmons raises his hands in defense, Pozar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pozar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Pozar passes Simmons's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pozar is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Pozar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pozar is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pozar works his way into side control. Pozar is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Simmons will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Pozar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Simmons knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pozar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pozar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pozar has hold of Simmons's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Simmons seems comfortable defending it but Pozar has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Simmons is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Simmons is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Pozar couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pozar Pozar! Pozar Pozar took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
