Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francisco dAnconia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sami Hyypia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). dAnconia kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Revolution. Hyypia has chosen Al Bowlly - Hang out the stars in Indiana as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dAnconia looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
dAnconia stands up over Hyypia, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
dAnconia is fighting to break Hyypia's control of his arms but Hyypia is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
dAnconia postures up and lands a big shot to Hyypia's brow.
dAnconia postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells dAnconia's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hyypia wants to stand but dAnconia is controlling the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
dAnconia moves into full guard.
Hyypia must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hyypia is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

dAnconia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hyypia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten dAnconia somewhat.
Hyypia comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

dAnconia gets off balance looking for a body kick
enabling Hyypia to counter with a crisp jab.
Hyypia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but dAnconia moves away.
dAnconia feinted with a counter takedown.
dAnconia pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hyypia is out of range and dAnconia settles back down.
Hyypia connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
dAnconia misses with a low kick.

dAnconia is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hyypia.
Hyypia stalks dAnconia and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into dAnconia's face. dAnconia staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Francisco dAnconia has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
dAnconia misses with a series of wild punches.
Hyypia lands a nice looking kick to the body. dAnconia takes a step back to recover.
dAnconia looks to score with a jab to the body but Hyypia is just out of range.
Hyypia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but dAnconia moves away.
dAnconia dives in and grabs Hyypia's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hyypia pushes down on dAnconia's head and hops out.
Hyypia is trying to counter with his kicks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francisco dAnconia. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hyypia cracks a nice hook into dAnconia's ribs.
A jab from Hyypia finds it's way through dAnconia's defenses.
dAnconia throws a leg kick
and Hyypia counters with a nice low kick that buckles dAnconia's knee momentarily.
Hyypia throws a good cross that connects.
Hyypia lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Hyypia throws a quick head kick that knocks dAnconia silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Hyypia is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Sami Hyypia!
After the fight, Sami Hyypia was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Francisco dAnconia was interviewed post fight and said 'Who is John Galt?'.
