Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Delled (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tucker John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Delled could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tucker John's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steven Delled! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tucker John! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! John is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Delled to keep the fight standing. Delled pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. John blocks a leg kick. John shoots for a takedown but Delled saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Delled looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Delled throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around John's waist but John gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Delled off to one side. John throws out a leg kick but Delled moves out of range and John only half commits. John tries to clinch up. Nice takedown defense from Delled. No joy for John on that attempt. Steven Delled has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tucker John. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. John shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Delled rushes John and presses him up against the cage. Delled trying to land knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Delled manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. John trying to control the position from guard on top but Delled is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. John stands and steps away. Delled gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. John slips a jab and a cross from Delled.
Delled looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. John tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Delled defends well and John ends up having to push Delled into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Delled swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - John looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. John takes the fight into the clinch. Delled ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Delled no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Delled wants to stand up but John is controlling him. Delled controlling the position. John gets to his feet - Delled follows without any prompting.
That's three minutes gone in the round. John changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Delled tries to avoid it but John manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Delled to the ground. Delled escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. John shoots in for a takedown but Delled shows good takedown defense. Delled shoots in and gets a takedown into John's guard. John wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Delled manages to pass to side control. Delled trying to control the pace. Delled works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John is working to get back to half guard.
Delled tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. John reaches up to try and control the position but Delled seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! John rolls and tries to escape and now Delled has his back!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Delled dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
John tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Delled paws at him with a jab and circles away. John tries to clinch up but Delled circles away and keeps his distance. Delled shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says John as he avoids it easily. John fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Delled avoids it really well and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Delled gets tackled into the cage by John. John maintains the clinch.

John scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Delled is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that John can do to turn this around? John blocks a head kick by Delled.
John wants to counter the offense by Delled and move into the clinch position. John looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Delled is fending him off so far but John persists. Nope, Delled circles away and we're back to standing. John tries to land a leg kick but Delled saw it coming and moves away.
As John looks to move away, Delled throws a big counter combo but John just gets out of the way. John tries to clinch but Delled is having none of it. John fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Steven Delled has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tucker John. Delled slips a jab and a cross from John.

Delled breaks from the clinch.
Delled shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with John but John pushes him off and we're back to square one. Delled has John up against the cage in a clinch.
Delled is trying to trip John. He has hold of a leg but John is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Delled persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Delled content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Delled advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Delled is trying to get an arm triangle but John is defending well. John is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. John gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Steven Delled overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. John wants to hold on but Delled pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Delled controlling the position easily from mount. Delled landing strikes from the mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Delled dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Delled gets control of John's arms and successfully pulls guard. Delled will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Delled might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Delled keeping moving, preventing John from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily. John is looking to pass into half guard but Delled pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Delled is in guard. John being controlled here, momentarily. John wants to get back to his feet but Delled is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Delled slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Delled decides to stand back up. Delled steps back and let's John get back to his feet. Delled clinches up against the cage. Delled breaks the clinch.
John tries to score a power double leg takedown but Delled sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten John somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for John. That snapped Delled's head back.
John misses with a takedown attempt and Delled counters by moving into the clinch. Steven Delled has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tucker John. John blocks an elbow strike. John tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
John tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Delled just stands there and leans against the cage. John tries for a takedown. No joy.
Delled on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Delled breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Delled pinned against the cage. Delled gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Delled blocks a head kick by John.
John has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. John dives in for a single leg takedown but Delled sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Delled pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Delled shoots in but no luck this time. John tries to clinch but Delled is having none of it. Tucker John has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Steven Delled is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. John misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that's the end of the fight! Steven Delled showed his dominance in that final round. Well Delled has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
