The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darren lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Smiff swings away with a body shot that misses
and Darren counters with a good low kick that Smiff was not able to check.
Smiff shoots in for a double leg but Darren sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Smiff tries a head kick but it misses.

Darren clinches up with Smiff and pushes him back against the cage.
Darren lands an elbow that stopped Smiff in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Stratovarius Smiff has been cut.
Darren works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Darren creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Smiff's defenses.
Darren lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Smiff looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
