The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Carter has closed the distance and engaged Kang in a clinch.
Kang gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Carter regains guard.
Kang throwing strikes but missing.
Kang throws a strike but Carter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kang looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kang has a closed guard, preventing Carter from standing up.
Carter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kang has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carter has managed to get both his arms back between Kang's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kang is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Carter rolls with it to try and escape but Kang cranks on the arm and Carter is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
