Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Test Bot Number Twelve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicolas Escobar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Test Bot Number Twelve!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Number Twelve closes the distance and pushes Escobar back into the cage.
Escobar tries to pull guard but Number Twelve holds him up against the cage and eventually Escobar drops back down to his feet.
Number Twelve avoiding damage as Escobar throws knees to the body.

Number Twelve decides to pull guard.
Escobar wants to stand but Number Twelve has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Escobar sitting in guard here, content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Number Twelve wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Escobar is now in half guard.

Number Twelve told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Number Twelve is refusing to be controlled, as Escobar sits in half guard.
Escobar is thwarting Number Twelve's attempts to control the position.
Escobar wants to control but Number Twelve is keeping him busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Escobar missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Number Twelve is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Escobar content to control rather than advance.
Escobar wants to stand up but Number Twelve has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Escobar takes one to the side of the head.

Number Twelve rushes Escobar and presses him up against the cage.

Number Twelve manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Escobar keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Number Twelve's head.

Number Twelve working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Escobar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Escobar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Number Twelve looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Escobar passes into side control.
Number Twelve tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Escobar tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Escobar tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Number Twelve can do anything to dispel that myth.
Escobar controls the position.
Number Twelve is trying to control Escobar's posture but Escobar avoids it.
Number Twelve is looking for a sweep.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Number Twelve keeps trying to improve his position.
Escobar trying to control the action but Number Twelve is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Test Bot Number Twelve will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Escobar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Number Twelve is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Well, if Escobar is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Escobar prevents Number Twelve from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Escobar is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Escobar seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Number Twelve manages to get to full guard.
Escobar trying to control the position from guard on top but Number Twelve is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Escobar postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Number Twelve not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Number Twelve wants to stand but Escobar is controlling the position.
Number Twelve is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Escobar wants to control but Number Twelve is keeping busy.
Number Twelve stalling.

Number Twelve is pressing down on Escobar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Escobar is holding on for now.

Number Twelve stands up from half guard.

Number Twelve moves into range and clinches up with Escobar.
Escobar tries to pull guard but Number Twelve holds him up against the cage and eventually Escobar drops back down to his feet.

Number Twelve breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Escobar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Number Twelve paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Escobar is looking to control Number Twelve's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Escobar avoid being mounted?
Escobar is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Escobar is looking to improve his position.
Escobar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Number Twelve is working away from the top position though.

Test Bot Number Twelve showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A frustrated look appears on Escobar's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Number Twelve pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Escobar is trying to pull guard but Number Twelve has him pressed against the cage.

Escobar is stalling in the full guard.
Escobar stops Number Twelve from standing up.
Number Twelve wants to control the position but Escobar says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Escobar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Number Twelve doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Escobar.
Number Twelve is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Number Twelve is trying to control but can't.
Escobar wants to stand but Number Twelve has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Number Twelve pushes Escobar off looking to stand but Escobar dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Number Twelve lands a nice looking body shot.
Test Bot Number Twelve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Escobar throws a sloppy head kick and Number Twelve moves out of range easily.

Number Twelve looking to score a takedown here. Escobar is defending well but Number Twelve drives through and ends up in Escobar's guard.
Number Twelve must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Number Twelve with a flurry of punches that miss.
Number Twelve trying to control the position from guard on top but Escobar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Number Twelve postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Number Twelve slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Number Twelve has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Number Twelve forces his way into half guard.
Test Bot Number Twelve is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Escobar is not content to let Number Twelve control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Number Twelve throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Number Twelve tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Escobar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Number Twelve's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Number Twelve's back!
Number Twelve is trying to get back to his feet but Escobar has full control of the position and if anything, Number Twelve has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Escobar controlling well, preventing Number Twelve from escaping the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Number Twelve holding both Escobar 's hands and preventing any damage.

Escobar working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Test Bot Number Twelve.
I've got Number Twelve winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
