Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Lynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Black Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russell Lynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Black Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynn throws a leg kick but Coleman moved away.
Lynn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lynn throws the left hand but Coleman avoids the punch easily.
Lynn looks to land a left hand but Coleman moved out of range nicely.
Coleman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Coleman dives in and grabs Lynn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lynn pushes down on Coleman's head and hops out.

Coleman shoots in and bounces Lynn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lynn looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman throwing strikes from guard but Lynn blocks nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman throws a big right hand that misses.
Coleman wants to control from the top but Lynn keeps moving.
Coleman looking to sit in guard and control but Lynn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Coleman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lynn is refusing to be controlled, as Coleman sits in half guard.
Coleman throwing shots but Lynn is blocking nicely.
Coleman not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Coleman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Coleman is keen to just control but Lynn is a slippery customer.

Coleman thows a huge punch but Lynn dodges it nicely.
Lynn wants to control but Coleman is keeping busy.
Coleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lynn's head.
Coleman is looking to stall here but Lynn recovers full guard.

Lynn trying to hold on to Coleman's head to control him but Coleman postures up.

Coleman seems to be looking for submissions.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fight stays on the outside here - Coleman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Coleman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lynn circles away.
Lynn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Coleman.
Coleman takes one to the chin there.
Lynn misses the jab.
Lynn scores with a crisp jab that stopped Coleman in his tracks.


It looks like Black Coleman has been cut.
Coleman dives in for a single leg takedown but Lynn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Russell Lynn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Coleman.
Lynn slaps away a takedown attempt from Coleman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lynn misses with an uppercut.
A telegraphed right hand from Coleman misses the target.
Lynn misses with the combination.
Coleman swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lynn enables Coleman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lynn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Coleman with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Russell Lynn will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Black Coleman's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Coleman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lynn's guard.
Lynn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Coleman's guard.


Coleman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lynn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lynn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Coleman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Coleman wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lynn is now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lynn takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Lynn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Coleman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've been hearing that Lynn has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Coleman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Coleman wants to get back to full guard.
Coleman is trying to control but can't.
Lynn wants to control but Coleman is keeping him busy.
Coleman is looking for a sweep. Lynn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Coleman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lynn lands a nice hook to Coleman's body. Coleman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Coleman tries to clinch up.
Coleman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lynn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Coleman.
Coleman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lynn sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Lynn is looking for a sweep.
Black Coleman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Coleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lynn keeps working.

Coleman wants to control for a moment but Lynn uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lynn moves into full guard.
Coleman throws an elbow that misses. Lynn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Coleman's guard. Nice move by Lynn!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Lynn lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Coleman needs to keep his hands up - Lynn had a free shot at his head there.
Coleman darts in looking for a takedown but Lynn gets double underhooks and turns Coleman into the cage.
Lynn misses with a double jab
and Coleman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nice straight punches there by Lynn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lynn.

Lynn gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Coleman to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Lynn pushes Coleman off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Coleman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lynn is positioning himself well to prevent Coleman advancing to mount.

Coleman thows a huge punch but Lynn dodges it nicely.

Russell Lynn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lynn napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Lynn sneaks out the side door and pushes Coleman away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Black Coleman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Coleman avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lynn dips to his left and cracks Coleman with an uppercut!
Lynn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Coleman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Coleman shoots in but no luck this time.
Lynn fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Coleman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Coleman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Lynn to counter with a crisp jab.
Russell Lynn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Coleman.
Coleman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Coleman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Lynn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Coleman drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lynn misses with a two punch combination.
Coleman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lynn.
A combination from Coleman does no damage.
Lynn works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Coleman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lynn finds it's way round the side to connect with Coleman's head.
Lynn lands a lovely overhand right.
Nice cross by Lynn.
Coleman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

And that's the end of the fight!
Russell Lynn showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lynn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
