Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harold Shermann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Kita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kita's choice of entrance music: Aleja Gwiazd. Damian Kita will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Damian Kita!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shermann looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kita on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Still in half guard, Shermann seems content to control.
Shermann is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kita defends it well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kita manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Shermann in particular looking to stall.

Shermann looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kita with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kita looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Shermann is nestled in close to Kita, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Shermann looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kita has hold of Shermann's hands but Shermann slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Shermann scores with a big shot! Kita's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Kita! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harold Shermann!
Damian Kita spoke after the fight, saying 'I will be back!'.
