The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tupper V shoots for a double leg takedown but Jack sprawls well. He's pushed Tupper V's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tupper V looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tupper V blocks a head kick by Jack.
Jack lands with an uppercut that bounces Tupper V off the cage and back into range.
Jack throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jack throws a solid leg kick but Tupper V takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jack.
Tupper V misses with a double jab.
Tupper V avoids the head kick by Jack.
Tupper V misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jack, as that shot connected.

Combat Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jack swings for the body but Tupper V moves out of range.
Tupper V takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Tupper V throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jack's waist but Jack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tupper V off to one side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tupper V throws a right hand that Jack ducks under and follows up with a left that Jack also avoids with ease.

Jack replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Tupper V blocks it well.
Tupper V will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Jack uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tupper V has time to react.
Tupper V attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Jack throws an overhand right that lands on Tupper V's shoulder, as Tupper V tries to avoid the shot.

Tupper V takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A jab-cross combination lands for Jack and sends Tupper V crashing to the mat! Jack follows him down to the mat - Tupper V regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Oh Tupper V is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tupper V wants to control but Jack is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Tupper V seems to have got his legs back now.
Jack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jack is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jack seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Jack is working for a kimura here but Tupper V manages to reverse the position and he's now in Jack's guard.

Jack throws the left hand but Tupper V avoids the punch easily.
No luck for Tupper V with that takedown attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Tupper V. That snapped Jack's head back.
Tupper V's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jack connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tupper V scrambles back to his feet.

Tupper V takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Jack throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Tupper V shoots in looking for a takedown but Jack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tupper V's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jack tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Combat Jack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jack lands with a big left! Tupper V is wobbled badly! Jack comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Tupper V to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Combat Jack was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
