Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Ortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer has chosen Fivefold – Broken as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Troy Palmer!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Troy Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ortega has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Palmer feints a jab promting Ortega to slip. Palmer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ortega slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

After the fight, Carlos Ortega was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
