Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arjen Franck Robbery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jannis Arvanitidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

25 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Arjen Franck Robbery! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
32 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jannis Arvanitidis! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arvanitidis drops his hands momentarily and Robbery takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Robbery slips a straight right by Arvanitidis. Robbery moves into the clinch. Arvanitidis has Robbery pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Robbery manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Arvanitidis is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Robbery can't fight it off and eventually Arvanitidis manages to take the fight to the floor. Robbery looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Robbery had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Arvanitidis defends it easily. Robbery is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Arvanitidis defends well. Arvanitidis is in close to Robbery's body, working some short punches and elbows. Arvanitidis stopping the sweep attempt from Robbery. Robbery is trying to control the position but Arvanitidis postures up. That's one minute gone in the round. Arvanitidis trying to control but Robbery is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robbery is looking to sweep but instead, Arvanitidis has passed into half guard.

Arvanitidis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Robbery with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Arvanitidis is nestled in close to Robbery, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Arvanitidis thows a huge punch but Robbery dodges it nicely.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Arvanitidis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Robbery is tightening it up a little... Arvanitidis has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Arvanitidis reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Arvanitidis taps out! Nice BJJ there by Robbery!
