Venger comes to the cage accompanied by Live and Let Die. Burns has chosen as his entrance music. Connor Mac Burns has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns defending well as Venger loads up on a big left hand.

and Burns counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Burns throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Venger to counter with a crisp jab.
Burns cracks Venger with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Venger uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burns.
Burns misses with a straight right.
Venger tries to clinch but Burns is having none of it.
Venger bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Burns looks to land a left hand but Venger moved out of range nicely.
Venger is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Burns.

and Burns counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Burns ducks under a wild hook from Venger.
Burns lands a glancing blow to the side of Venger's head.
Venger swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It seemed like Burns was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Venger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Burns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Venger manages to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Venger on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Venger wants to clinch but Burns slips to the side
and Burns counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Venger misses with an uppercut.
Burns ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Burns was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Burns is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Venger had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Burns bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Venger's head backwards.
Venger throws a leg kick but Burns sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Venger lands a nice shot that snaps Burns's head back.
Burns scores with a body shot.
A cross from Burns lands.
Burns keeps the fight on the outside.
Venger throws a right hand that misses

and Burns counters with a nice right hand that sends Venger toppling to the canvas! Venger scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Burns finish him?!

Venger is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Burns lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Oh Venger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Venger switches off momentarily and Burns cracks him with a monster right hand! Venger topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Burns dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Burns!

Connor Mac Burns seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
