Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Afa Sila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Correa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Afa Sila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Correa!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Correa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Let's hope that Correa has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Correa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sila does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Correa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sila haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Correa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Correa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sila stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sila looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Correa's coach down at MM eh Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Correa's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Correa feints a jab promting Sila to slip. Correa then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sila slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jose Correa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Correa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
