Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cedrick Frederick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sonnen's choice of entrance music: Scream Aim Fire. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sonnen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Frederick moves away.
Frederick tried to counter with a leg kick but Sonnen avoided it.
Frederick takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Frederick pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sonnen throws a body punch but Frederick moves out of range.
Sonnen scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Frederick gets caught napping as Sonnen dives in and scores a takedown. Frederick manages to retain guard.
Sonnen throws an elbow that misses. Frederick uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sonnen's guard. Nice move by Frederick!
Sonnen trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Sonnen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sonnen wants to sweep but no luck.
Frederick wants to stand but Sonnen has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sonnen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sonnen can't keep his opponent in guard - Frederick advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sonnen is trying to maintain the position but Frederick is very close to passing his half guard.
Frederick wants to get back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sonnen is looking for a sweep. Frederick is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sonnen is trying is best to control the position here.
Sonnen wants to get back to full guard.
Sonnen controlling the position well.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sonnen wants to improve his position but Frederick is controlling well.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
We've been told by Frederick's head coaches at Cutthroat that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Donk. Frederick catches Sonnen right on the button with a cross.

Sonnen throws out a loose jab but Frederick uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sonnen connects with the punch.
Frederick moves away from the strike by Sonnen.
A solid leg kick lands there for Frederick.
Sonnen moves forwards but Frederick connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Frederick gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sonnen throws an overhand right that lands on Frederick's shoulder, as Frederick tries to avoid the shot.
Sonnen cracks Frederick with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Cedrick Frederick has been cut.
Frederick moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sonnen slips under a jab.
Frederick takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Frederick moves out of range as Sonnen strikes.
It appears Frederick was looking to counter with a kick there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sonnen, right into the meat.

Sonnen swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Frederick counters with a stiff right hand.
Sonnen thows a body kick. Frederick tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Frederick throws a monster overhand right that drops Sonnen! Frederick follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cedrick Frederick!
Cedrick Frederick decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Leo Sonnen was interviewed post fight and said 'Dislocated my shoulder at the start, i'll be back and better than ever! '.
