The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawler with a poor takedown
and Buffer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Buffer jabs at Lawler's body.

Buffer has closed the distance and engaged Lawler in a clinch.
Lawler fails to pull guard.
Bruce Buffer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Lawler.
Lawler tries to pull guard but Buffer forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lawler fails to pull the fight into his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lawler tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Buffer smiles and moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lawler takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Buffer has managed to clinch.
Buffer lands a nice shot to the body.

Lawler tries to pull guard but Buffer holds him up against the cage and eventually Lawler drops back down to his feet.

Buffer gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Buffer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lawler on the ground.
Buffer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Buffer trying to move into half guard but instead Lawler has managed to sweep!

Lawler advances position into side control!
Buffer is not content to let Lawler control the position.

Lawler is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Buffer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Buffer wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Lawler has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Buffer's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Buffer is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Lawler!
