Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Poro Peukalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Strong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strong comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Egypt Central - Kick Ass kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mark Strong is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Poro Peukalo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Strong! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Strong. No joy for Peukalo on that attempt. Strong with a hook. Peukalo tries a head kick but it misses.
Peukalo tries to close the distance and clinch but Strong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Peukalo has a takedown stuffed. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Peukalo is defended easily by Strong. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Poro Peukalo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peukalo slips a jab from Strong. Peukalo shoots in for a takedown but Strong shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strong throws a right hand that Peukalo ducks under and follows up with a left that Peukalo also avoids with ease. Peukalo goes for a double leg but Strong avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Strong continues to drive forward. Peukalo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Strong feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Peukalo is looking to stand back up but Strong counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Peukalo.

Peukalo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Peukalo tries to get out of the position. Strong lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Strong landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Strong not doing much here.
Strong working Peukalo over with strikes. Strong passes the guard and advances to mount! Peukalo tries to lock up and control but Strong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Strong looking to finish Peukalo with some ground and pound. This is bad for Peukalo!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strong with good strikes from the mount here! Peukalo working to try and regain half guard.
Strong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Strong landing shots from mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Strong controlling the pace for now. Strong goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Peukalo is on top in guard.
Strong is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strong looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Peukalo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Strong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Peukalo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Strong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peukalo has managed to get both his arms back between Strong's legs - danger averted. Strong pushes a forearm under Peukalo's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Peukalo is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mark Strong! A relieved looking Mark Strong thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
