Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Askari Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joao Sousa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Sousa.
Sousa throws a head kick that half lands.
Sousa misses the shot to the body.
Sousa has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Volkov clinches up with Sousa and pushes him back against the cage.
Sousa lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Sousa pulls Volkov into guard.
Volkov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Volkov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Volkov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Volkov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Volkov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sousa controls Volkov momentarily but Volkov frees himself.
Sousa looking for a guillotine here but Volkov defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Volkov is looking to work some ground and pound but Sousa has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Volkov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Sousa keeping full guard, as Volkov tries to pass.
Volkov is working hard here to advance position.
Volkov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sousa has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Volkov is looking to defend but Sousa has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Volkov! Sousa pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Volkov taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Joao Sousa!
