Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Neer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marques comes to the cage accompanied by Raining Blood. Josh Neer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Marques! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Neer! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marques clinches. Marques scores with a shoulder strike. Marques lands a hook to the side of the head. A nice left hand lands by Marques.
Marques works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Neer is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Marques dives into side control.
Marques definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Neer is looking to regain half guard here but Marques keeps moving and retains side control. Marques tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Neer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marques. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marques in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marques working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Marques landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Marques scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Neer to see if he's OK. Marques tries for a kimura but Neer is defending well. Marques controlling from side mount. Marques gets to mount! Neer was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Marques looking to secure an arm triangle but Neer defends it well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Marques with a couple of short strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marques sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Marques has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Marques working for a submission but Neer is keeping him at bay. Neer keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neer tries to improve his position but instead Marques has taken his back! Marques is working for a rear naked choke. Neer is not defending it well and Marques has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Neer refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Neer's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Billy Marques! Billy Marques decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
