Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lyle Chipperson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Conor Isihara! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chipperson shoots for a double leg takedown but Isihara sprawls well. He's pushed Chipperson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Chipperson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Isihara makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Isihara. Isihara is looking to sweep but instead, Chipperson has passed into half guard.
Chipperson moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Isihara. Chipperson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Isihara tries to improve position but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chipperson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Isihara has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters roll with the hold and Isihara manages to kick Chipperson off! Chipperson jumps back into Isihara's guard. Isihara wants to sweep here but Chipperson controlling him for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chipperson is looking to work some ground and pound but Isihara has wrist control. Isihara tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Isihara goes for a double leg but Chipperson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Chipperson continues to drive forward. Isihara gets caught flat footed, as Chipperson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Isihara looking for a sweep. Not yet Isihara, not yet. Isihara looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Chipperson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Chipperson seems to be looking for submissions.

The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Isihara manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Isihara is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Chipperson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Isihara darts in looking for a takedown but Chipperson gets double underhooks and turns Isihara into the cage. Chipperson tries to counter with a takedown but Isihara is quick to defend against it. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Isihara slaps away a takedown attempt from Chipperson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Chipperson shoots in for a double leg but Isihara sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Isihara. Isihara gets tackled into the cage by Chipperson. Chipperson maintains the clinch. Isihara has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chipperson uses from the top position. Chipperson wants to control from the top but Isihara keeps moving. Isihara throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Chipperson escapes and throws Isihara's legs to the side, diving into side control! Isihara tries to bench press Chipperson off him but Chipperson keeps the position. Chipperson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Isihara will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Chipperson advances nicely into full mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chipperson prevents Isihara from getting the reversal. Conor Isihara has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chipperson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Lyle Chipperson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chipperson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
