Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Morbius! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 21 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohamed Khanidov! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morbius shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Morbius is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Khanidov defends it well. Morbius is trying to work for a kimura but Khanidov is defending well.
Morbius is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Khanidov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Morbius. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morbius is looking for a kimura here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khanidov is defending against the submission attempts here by Morbius.

That's one minute gone in the round. Morbius is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Khanidov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morbius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Khanidov is trying to stand.
Morbius moves into full mount! Khanidov won't be happy about that! Morbius goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Khanidov is on top in guard.
Morbius working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khanidov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Morbius is tightening it up a little... Khanidov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Khanidov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Khanidov taps out! Nice BJJ there by Morbius!
