Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Woodrow Joyner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MJ Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Woodrow Joyner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, MJ Sato! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joyner on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Joyner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sato controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Joyner keeping moving, preventing Sato from controlling successfully. Joyner really is a fat lump. Sato stands up from Joyner's guard - Sato perhaps looking for a knockout. Joyner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sato is fending him off so far but Joyner persists. Nope, Sato circles away and we're back to standing. Joyner fails in his attempt to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sato closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Joyner is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sato pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sato manages to break the clinch.
Sato lands a left and a right that send Joyner crashing to the mat, dazed. Sato thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sato gets a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sato successfully pulls guard.
Sato keeping moving, preventing Joyner from controlling successfully. Joyner stopping the sweep attempt from Sato. Sato had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Joyner defends it easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joyner sitting in guard, not really doing much. Sato looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Joyner passes into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sato is looking to regain half guard here but Joyner keeps moving and retains side control. Joyner throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Sato works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Sato actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sato moves into full guard.
Joyner controls from within his opponent's guard. Sato is pulling down on Joyner's head to control his posture. Joyner sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sato kicks Joyner off and gets to his feet. Sato shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Joyner eats them both and turns towards Sato to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Woodrow Joyner's cut is getting worse. Joyner wants to clinch up but Sato keeps it at a distance. A cross from Sato lands.
Joyner is rocked!
Woodrow Joyner's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Sato dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Joyner has had enough and taps out.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). MJ Sato!
