Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sasuke Yumikuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Johnz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sasuke Yumikuri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Johnz!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yumikuri misses with a jab, cross combination.
Yumikuri shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnz connects with a right hand. Yumikuri shakes it off.

Yumikuri shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Yumikuri was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Yumikuri looking to ground and pound but Johnz is blocking nicely.

Yumikuri is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Johnz can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yumikuri looking for a guillotine from mount but Johnz is having none of it.
Yumikuri is breathing heavily.
Yumikuri looking to control but Johnz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Johnz is looking to improve his position but Yumikuri isn't that keen on the idea.

Yumikuri is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Johnz has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Johnz!

Johnz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Yumikuri keeping full guard, as Johnz tries to pass.
Johnz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Yumikuri wants to sweep but no luck.

Yumikuri has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Yumikuri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnz trying to control the position from guard on top but Yumikuri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Johnz fails in his attempt to clinch.

Yumikuri will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Johnz tries to clinch up but Yumikuri circles away and keeps his distance.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Yumikuri crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Johnz - the referee stops the clock and Yumikuri gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Johnz. Yumikuri manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Johnz.

A combination from Johnz does no damage.
Johnz doesn't manage to clinch there - Yumikuri circles away.
Johnz lands a nice looking body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Johnz moves in looking to clinch but Yumikuri pushes him off.

Johnz throws a leg kick which misses Yumikuri's front leg but catches the back leg as Yumikuri tries to avoid it.

Johnz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yumikuri swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Yumikuri decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Johnz won't allow Yumikuri to pass to mount.
Johnz has hold of Yumikuri's hands but Yumikuri slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Yumikuri is tying to control. Johnz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Johnz manages to get to full guard.

Yumikuri postures up in Johnz's guard and throws a big left but Johnz blocks it.
Yumikuri wants to pass the guard but Johnz is keeping the position.
Johnz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Yumikuri!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnz is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Yumikuri wants to control but Johnz is having none of it.

Yumikuri bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Yumikuri prevents Johnz from getting back to his feet.
Yumikuri advances position into side control!
Yumikuri lands a nice forearm strike.
Yumikuri grinds an elbow into Johnz's temple.

Yumikuri laying and praying for a moment but Johnz takes advantage and regains half guard.
Johnz is not content to let Yumikuri control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Yumikuri wants to pass the guard but Johnz is defending well.
Yumikuri wants to take a breather but Johnz is having none of it.
Yumikuri is looking to stall here but Johnz recovers full guard.
Yumikuri wants to pass the guard but Johnz is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnz throws a leg kick which misses Yumikuri's front leg but catches the back leg as Yumikuri tries to avoid it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Johnz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Yumikuri fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnz lands with a thumping leg kick.
Johnz lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Johnz is looking to clinch but Yumikuri is avoiding it.
Johnz pushes Yumikuri away with a front kick.
Yumikuri will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Yumikuri misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Yumikuri has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Johnz tries to clinch up but Yumikuri circles away and keeps his distance.
Yumikuri falls off balance throwing a combination
and Johnz counters with an inside leg kick.

Johnz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Yumikuri's calf.
Yumikuri takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Johnz lands with a kick to the ribs.
Johnz wants to clinch up but Yumikuri keeps it at a distance.
Crunch! Johnz slams his shin into Yumikuri's torso.
Some wild striking there from Johnz.
Yumikuri on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Johnz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Yumikuri shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Yumikuri showed some decent athleticism there.
Yumikuri is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Yumikuri wants to free his trapped foot but Johnz is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Yumikuri stops Johnz from getting back to his feet.
Yumikuri is pressing down on Johnz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnz is holding on for now.
Johnz is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Yumikuri scores with a couple of nice shots.

Yumikuri is looking for a kimura here.

Yumikuri is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Yumikuri is looking for a kimura but Johnz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yumikuri to get the leverage.

Yumikuri throwing shots but Johnz is blocking nicely.
Yumikuri is tying to control. Johnz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Yumikuri doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Johnz counters with a left and a right that stings Yumikuri.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Johnz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Johnz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
