Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sakazuki Akainu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asko Vilenius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Sakazuki Akainu! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Asko Vilenius! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vilenius scores with a crisp jab that stopped Akainu in his tracks. Vilenius misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Akainu.
Akainu scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Vilenius with a nice cross. Akainu missing with a left hand there. Vilenius was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Vilenius closes the distance and lands a one-two. A shot to the body from Vilenius misses and Akainu counters with a stiff right hand. A swing and a miss from Akainu. Akainu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Akainu avoids the body shot from Vilenius.
Akainu half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vilenius throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That kick from Akainu tenderised Vilenius's leg. Vilenius is trying to keep his angry face on. Vilenius looks to land a right hand but Akainu moved out of range. Akainu looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Nice body kick there by Akainu. Akainu cracks Vilenius with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Akainu misses with an uppercut
and Vilenius counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vilenius throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Vilenius working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Vilenius working his ground and pound in the gym. Well, if Vilenius is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Akainu tries to roll over but Vilenius keeps him under control. Akainu wants to control but Vilenius is keeping busy and won't allow it. Akainu is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Vilenius is nestled in close to Akainu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Akainu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vilenius is working away from the top position though. Vilenius thows a huge punch but Akainu dodges it nicely.
Akainu looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Well, if Vilenius is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Akainu is not content to let Vilenius control the position. Vilenius works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vilenius lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Akainu hang on? Vilenius landing punches. Vilenius with good strikes from the mount here! The referee warns Akainu that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Vilenius wants to control the pace but Akainu is squirming around nicely. A nice elbow there by Vilenius. Akainu takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Vilenius scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Akainu?
Vilenius raining down shots from the mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vilenius with the ground and pound from mount. Vilenius has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. BOOM! Vilenius connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Vilenius working Akainu over with strikes here. Akainu takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Vilenius landing strikes from the mount. Vilenius postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Akainu is out cold - huge knockout for Vilenius!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Asko Vilenius! Asko Vilenius is the new heavyweight champion! A relieved looking Asko Vilenius thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. The defeated Sakazuki Akainu had this to say: 'Fuck you!'.
