Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rueben Foreman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Flanagan!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flanagan closes the distance and clinches up with Foreman, looking for a takedown. Flanagan pushes Foreman against the cage but Foreman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Foreman swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Flanagan rushes Foreman and presses him up against the cage.
Foreman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Foreman avoids a wild elbow strike from Flanagan.
Flanagan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foreman misses with a body punch.

Flanagan manages to break the clinch.
Flanagan tries for a takedown but Foreman circles away easily
and Foreman counters with a two punch combo.

Flanagan instigates a clinch.
Foreman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Flanagan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Foreman looking for a takedown.

Foreman has hold of one of Flanagan's legs. Flanagan is fighting the takedown attempt but Foreman gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Flanagan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Foreman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Foreman lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Foreman is in close to Flanagan's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Foreman working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Foreman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flanagan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Foreman postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Flanagan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Foreman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Flanagan's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Foreman stands up over Flanagan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Foreman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Flanagan uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Flanagan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Foreman defends well and Flanagan ends up having to push Foreman into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Rueben Foreman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Flanagan.

Flanagan throws Foreman to one side and escapes!
Sean Flanagan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Flanagan tries to sprawl but Foreman drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Foreman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Flanagan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Foreman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Foreman lands with a punch from half guard.
Foreman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.


Flanagan is rocked!
Foreman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Flanagan is still in real trouble! Can Foreman finish him?

Foreman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Foreman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Flanagan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Foreman lands a nice short elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Foreman lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Flanagan quite badly. Flanagan pulls Foreman in close trying to recover. Foreman postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Flanagan on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Flanagan doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rueben Foreman!
