The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gall stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie Jr. Gracie Jr gets slowly back to his feet.
Gall shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gall was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gall goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gracie Jr has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gall but great work by Gracie Jr.
Gall stops Gracie Jr from passing to mount.
Gall avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Gracie Jr.
Gracie Jr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

After the fight, Damian Gracie Jr was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
