Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brant Mcmahon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brant Mcmahon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcmahon looks for a takedown but Ortiz sprawls well. Ortiz tries to clinch but Mcmahon is having none of it. Ortiz fails with a takedown attempt. Mcmahon stuffs the takedown. Ortiz closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ortiz prevents the takedown attempt.
Mcmahon misses with a punch to the body.
Mcmahon is trying to drag Ortiz to the mat but Ortiz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brant Mcmahon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ortiz tries to pull guard but Mcmahon holds him up against the cage and eventually Ortiz drops back down to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ortiz has clasped his hands together around Mcmahon's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Ortiz is trying to ground and pound but Mcmahon uses the momentary lack of control by Ortiz to regain half guard. Ortiz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ortiz trying to control the pace. Mcmahon trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ortiz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcmahon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ortiz is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Mcmahon still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Mcmahon has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Mcmahon goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ortiz rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mcmahon's guard! Nice work there by Ortiz!

Ortiz throws a big right hand that misses. Mcmahon wants to hit a switch here but Ortiz passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mcmahon there! Ortiz is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mcmahon has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mcmahon!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ortiz trying to control the position here. Ortiz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ortiz wants to control but Mcmahon is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Randy Ortiz will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Mcmahon is looking for a kimura but Ortiz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mcmahon to get the leverage. Ortiz keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Mcmahon stalling away here and it's allowed Ortiz to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcmahon won't allow Ortiz to sweep him here. Ortiz trying to keep a closed guard but Mcmahon is proving a slippery customer.

It looks like Brant Mcmahon has been cut. Mcmahon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ortiz clinches up against the cage. Ortiz decides to pull guard. Ortiz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcmahon's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mcmahon controlling the position. Ortiz pushing down on Mcmahon's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Ortiz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Brant Mcmahon's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Mcmahon blocks a head kick by Ortiz.
Mcmahon throws a big counter combination but Ortiz scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Ortiz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcmahon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ortiz fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice takedown defense from Mcmahon. No joy for Ortiz on that attempt. Mcmahon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brant Mcmahon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mcmahon takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Ortiz tries to lock up and control but Mcmahon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Mcmahon trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mcmahon looking to secure an arm triangle but Ortiz defends it well. Ortiz defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mcmahon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ortiz avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mcmahon.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ortiz is fighting to break Mcmahon's control of his arms but Mcmahon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Ortiz preventing the sweep. Mcmahon keeping moving, preventing Ortiz from controlling successfully. Mcmahon trying to keep a closed guard but Ortiz is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ortiz looking to sit in guard and control but Mcmahon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ortiz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mcmahon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ortiz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mcmahon, into his guard. Ortiz is working Mcmahon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brant Mcmahon. Well Ortiz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
