The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leifsson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nicholson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Nicholson is not content to let Leifsson control the position.
Nicholson prevents Leifsson from improving position.
Nicholson is looking for a sweep.
Nicholson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A lull in the action here as Leifsson stalls from top position.
Leifsson moves into full mount!
Nicholson really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nicholson flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Leifsson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Leifsson looking to secure an arm triangle but Nicholson defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nicholson is working to get back to half guard.

Leifsson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Nicholson is on top in guard.

Leifsson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Leifsson pulls Nicholson in to control the position.

Leifsson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nicholson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nicholson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Leifsson has control of Nicholson's left arm, preventing Nicholson from doing any damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Leifsson wants to sweep here but Nicholson controlling him for the moment.

Nicholson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Leifsson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Nicholson is looking to defend but Leifsson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Nicholson! Leifsson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Nicholson taps out and this one is all over!
